Connection Changes Everything
At Conscious Tutoring, we help students learn in ways that actually work for their brains. Many bright, capable kids lose confidence not because they can’t learn, but because traditional instruction doesn’t meet their needs. When learning feels mismatched, students disengage. Our approach rebuilds confidence, focus, and skill by creating connection — to the material, to peers, and to themselves.
We are a team of four highly trained, specialized educators, overseen by Christina Lane, M.Ed., founder and lead educational specialist. Our team is experienced in working with ADHD, dyslexia, executive function challenges, anxiety, and learning differences, as well as with students who are ready to move ahead, deepen skills, or accelerate. We blend structure with flexibility so students can both catch up and get ahead — without burnout.
Our instruction is grounded in evidence-based practices, including Orton-Gillingham–informed literacy instruction, structured writing frameworks, and explicit math teaching. Sessions also incorporate practical tools for attention, regulation, and study skills, helping students stay calm, organized, and engaged. We don’t rely on busywork or guesswork — we teach for true understanding and mastery.
Every student begins with an assessment to identify strengths, learning gaps, and how they learn best. From there, we design a custom plan that blends 1:1 instruction and small-group learning, offering both individualized support and the confidence-building power of peer connection. This model supports measurable academic progress while helping students feel less alone in the learning process.
Whether a student is building early literacy, strengthening reading and writing, improving math foundations, preparing for standardized tests, or seeking enrichment beyond grade level, our goal is the same: real progress and lasting confidence. When students feel supported and capable, learning becomes something they can trust again — and that changes everything.
